Pick & place cell with transfer system

The operator loads the workpiece carriers with the fixtures at the transfer system. The workpiece carrier is released via the start button and transported into the cell. Once in the cell, the workpiece carrier is centered and is ready for loading.

The Scara robot checks that there are no more loaded components on the holder. The parts are brought into the pickable zone via the flexible feed system. A camera detects the position and transmits it to the Scara. This picks up the component using a vacuum gripper and places it in the appropriate position.
